Richard is Chief Technology Officer (interim) at the UK’s Satellite Applications Catapult – an organisation driving take-up of space technology and applications to shape, and sustain, the world of tomorrow. Richard has more than 20 years of experience in the Space sector, spanning deep-space exploration, global navigation, Earth observation and communications – for private, national and trans-national organisations.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) and a member of the RAeS’ specialist group on Space. He also co-Chairs the UK space industry’s trade association working group for In-orbit Service & Manufacture (IOSM / ISAM).
